Downloads for DS are the latest rage. Nintendo has begun releasing downloads for its Nintendo DS and DS Lite hand held game models. Nintendo’s greatest hand held machines yet, the DS and DS Lite are in the hands of boys and girls, men and women across the country. People just can’t seem to get enough.
Video games are constantly evolving and it seems that Nintendo is at the front of the pack. While other video game companies are focusing predominantly on their home based units, Nintendo sees the market for portable electronics that don’t require a monthly paid plan. Where the cell phone gaming industry is lacking, systems like the DS and DS Lite provide hours of enjoyment across multiple generations.
With games that teach as well as entertain, Nintendo is right on the mark. With the ability to load user preferences and settings, the DS allows for use by multiple players. Another great feature about the Nintendo DS is its Wi-Fi Connection. Through the Wi-Fi connection, users can view new games that are available and try them out before buying. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time Review
Just released! Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time. The first cross platform game. It is the first game that works on both DS and Wii. You can play multiplayer with others via many different options. If you have a DS and your buddy has a Wii you’re all set as all variations of 4 player can be tossed together.
With truly amazing 3D graphics and up to four-player multiplayer gameplay, this is the most accessible take on the FINAL FANTASY universe, allowing players to enjoy the CRYSTAL CHRONICLES experience from anywhere in the world thanks to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection mode.
Ditching the turn-based combat and epic scale of its sister-series, Echoes of Time presents a much more action-oriented experience than traditional Final Fantasy adventures. Players control their character in typical hack and slash inspired gameplay, fighting through dungeons and solving puzzles while unraveling a fairly uninteresting story. The plot is meant to take a back seat to the gameplay, however, and Echoes’ focus is on multiplayer, not narrative. You start off by picking your race and gender, naming your hero, and then you’re introduced to the small town in the forest that you reside in. From here you’re introduced to the combat mechanics, which are really simple. You have a basic melee attack that strings together into three hits or so, a jumping attack, and then your magic attacks. The magic in Ring of Fates is handled pretty well on the DS, wherein at the bottom screen you have 6 colored jewels that represent your different magic attacks, mostly based on elements outside of something like cure, and when you select one by pressing the touch screen you’ll always cast that particular magic spell until you switch it over. Casting is a little obtuse though, in that you have to direct this ring of energy over your enemy by holding down X, and then releasing it to actually cast. If there was a lock-on system in the game it seems like that would have been more ideal, but at least this form of casting allows you to hit multiple enemies if they’re close enough to each other.

Nintendo DSI Review
Nintendo DSI was released on 5th April and cost around $170.
Nintendo DSI is thinner and lighter than previous Nintendo DS models. It also offers larger screen, two cameras, as well as new music players.
DS Lite before had several colors you could choose from, the Nintendo DSI only allow you to choose between white and black.
Another major advantage is that Nintendo has improved the brightness and graphics of the LCD screen. When looking at the Dis you will also notice that it does have a less glossy surface than its forerunners.
So why was this changed? I found no real answer to this question, but I guess a less glossy surface makes reading easier and you won’t see fingerprints on it anymore.
Another great thing is that the DSi can still play old Nintendo Ds games. However, you should be aware that if you own Gameboy Advanced games, you won’t be able to play it on the DSI. (It was possible to play old Gameboy Advanced games on the old Nintendo DS). As a replacement for the basket of the GBA slot, there is now an SD memory card slot in the Nintendo DSI.
As a Nintendo DSi owner you can also download games right from the Nintendo DSi shop online or you if you want to get your DSI games almost free go to Pocketdownloadcenter. Similar to the Wii store you will have to buy point to get games.
Once you have downloaded games, you can store in the ISD, or the internal memory or SD card, which is very convenient. In addition, I love the idea of a dual-chamber that is included in the ISD. You can customize your photos and have very interesting effects such as morphing his face, mirror effects, and the addition of graphics or tables
Nintendo DSi was released on 5th April and no matter of the economical crises it seems it is selling very good, because it is out of stock in many shops, online and offline.
